The Tripper (2007)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0760187/
Director - David Arquette
Writer - Joe Harris & David Arquette
Status - Filming
"A group of friends escape to a modern-day Woodstock concert for a weekend of debauchery, only to be stalked by a fanatical killer determined to finish what he started years earlier."
The Tripper will be Raw Entertainment's first cinematic effort to begin rolling, with actor David Arquette making his directorial debut. The film, to be shot this spring in California’s scenic Santa Cruz, is set at a “freedom festival,” where a maniac begins knocking off the participants. Thomas Jane will co-star as a detective on the case. “I'm usually not attracted to the typical slasher films, except for the classics like HALLOWEEN, FRIDAY THE 13TH, PSYCHO and TEXAS CHAINSAW, so what drew me to THE TRIPPER was David’s take on the genre, it’s political without pounding you over the head, and has a great blend of horror and humor. Oh, and it’s bloody. Very bloody. That attracted me too.”
Sounds like every other horror movie of late!
And this Joe Harris bloke was supposed to be doing Children of the Corn 8, looks like thats not going ahead, what a joke
