Anyone into or know of many Japanese bands?

I've always liked The Mad Capsule Markets and Polysics the most. Polysics are awesome because their sound has a lot of basic wave sounds in it that sound a lot like 8-bit videogame riffs mixed with rock and roll.

I'd recommend checking some of these guys songs. There are also other Japanese bands like Electric Eel Shock and Manu Chau but I'd recommend checking out MCM and Polysics.

Songs that I'd recommend are:

Polysics - New Wave Jacket

Polysics - Married To A Frenchman

Polysics - Kaja Kaja Guu

Mad Capsule Markets - Fly High

Mad Capsule Markets - Pulse (this was on the Tony Hawks 2 soundtrack, I think)

Mad Capsule Markets - Chaos Step

Electric Eel Shock - Speedy Joe

He gets pissy when people don't like Avenged Sevenfold, Red. Ignore him.

Mad Capsule Markets are incredible. Dir En Grey aren't too bad either.

Sweet, you know this stuff too?

It's been a couple years since I've really listened to any Jrock stuff.....I don't even know what's current right now, I still mostly listen to stuff like Malice Mizer, L'arc en Ciel, Dir en Grey...I'm about 3-4 years out of date laughing out loud

Well from my experience bands usually hit each country about twice with each tour. So maybe they'll be back. I'll keep a look out.

Wow I'm surprised so many are into this stuff.

Mad Capsule Markets are deadly driving songs though. I always tend to go a leeetle too fast whenever they're blasting out of my stereo.

However, drowning out boy racers and their crappy false dance/RnB with the likes of MCMs "Fly High" is priceless.

They're like "WTF is that shit?"

Me: "It's kicking your arse, mate"

Don't mind them.

MCM are the only band I really listen to out of the Japanese bands.

There are some really good Japanese musicians, but as far as band, I like MCM the best.
