Star Wars and the Inheiretance Trilogy

I've noticed a lot of similarities between the two. Like, there used to be a big peace keeping thing that was betrayed from the inside out and now the new government is called the Empire. And like there is an old teacher that gets killed in defense of the main character who is the son of one of the traitors and how there is a last remaining rider (in Eldest) who is actually weak and too old to fight like Yoda. Oh and the main charcter knows where to go in to finish the training while he's in a trance

That's because the Inheritance trilogy is primarily an amalgation of different fantasy and sci-fi sources. Christopher Paolini even admitted that.

Please, one of the main mountain ranges is called the Beor mountains. The Island of the Riders looks uncannily like Numenor, and lots of other places seem to have been shamefully ripped straight out of the Silmarillion. It's just a bastardised version of the Silmarillion.
