Malachor - origins of the Knights of Ren?

A clip from next weeks episode show's Ezra wielding a Tri-Saber at Malachor. According to what I understand, the Tri-Saber is distinctly a Knights of Ren weapon. Does this 'evidence' prove that the Knights of Ren originate from Malachor or something else entirely? Such as Ezra being the founder of the Knights of Ren? Thoughts?
