What is a Cover Letter??

Im trying to apply for this job and it says attach your resume and a cover letter... I got the resume, but not sure what the cover letter is

help?

A cover letter or covering letter is a letter of introduction attached to, or accompanying another document such as a r�sum� or curriculum vitae. A successful cover letter results in the r�sum� being considered, rather than discarded. It also sometimes accompanies a scientific article.

are you faxing it? or mailing it?

its basically a letter stating who you are and your intention to work at where ever and that attached is your resume and yah basically big grin

if you go onto word itll give you options of how to form your resume and cover letter smile

It highlights a few specific points in the job seeker's experience and skills that match or exceed the requirements of the job. It should be written to address the employer or recruiter's concerns. For example, "My experience in (whatever is needed) can help you with (whatever is needed)." would be preferable to "Your job interests me.".
