Hazmat: Reclaimer Role Play
Two marines stood outside of a crowded intersection and waited for any sign of the contagion vitims to emerge. For the last couple of days, there hadn't even been one sign of them and they seemed to have been killed off in the last assault. Just as everything was getting quite and calm, a person could be heard screaming down the street. "I'll go." One marine marched down to the corner and saw another marine holding a woman in the air with one hand. "What the hell are you doing!? Stand down!" The marine raised his weapon and leveled the sights with the other marines' head. Upon further inspection, he saw the discoloration in his eyes. His eyes widened, and before he could pull the trigger, the amalgamator slammed the woman against the wall and shot a mist into the marine's face. With a scream he dropped to his knees and rub his eyes. Before he could even think, he was already one of them.
A loud bang rang out, and the Amalgator shielded his eyes. As soon as it did, a cloaked figure dropped from the upper story of a building and stabbed his knife into it's head. With a quick spin, he had fired three rounds into the newly infected marine. Hearing more marines coming, he turned around and started to run for a nearby alleyway where he decided to die. Once inside the alley, Jacob took a deep breath, from inside his hazmat suit. "Don't trash this one... it's the only version. No one else has one, so if you break it, there's no getting a new one..... Be careful out there man." That thought rang throughout the back of his mind. "I will be, brother."

The helicopter ride to the outter military quarantine base was rather short and uneventful. The military chopper landed and Rek opened the sliding panel styled door. His boots touched grass as he stepped out. Lieutenant Rek Mirez stood under the rotating blades as a uniformed and highly decorated General approached. Ducking under the still rotating blades the General saluted. "Lieutenant Mirez. Welcome to Ohio."
Rek returned the salute. "Thank you, sir!"
The General led Rek across the grass to a small portable building. Once inside the General began the briefing. "Lieutenant Mirez." He began. "Do you remember the 'Delta Contagion'."
Rek nodded. "Yes, sir. I was part of that operation."
The General picked up a classified file and handed it to the Lieutenant. "We believe that the outbreak that happened six years ago was not fully killed off and the infection has taken over the small town that we are currently five miles from the outskirts of. It was noticed that all the poulation had disappeared."
Rek blinked in understnding. "Why don't you bomb the town?"
The General sat down and sighed. "There may be survivors and we can't risk it."
Rek opened his file to a sattalite image of the town. "Empty." He scanned the picture. "No sign of a living person."
"Page 12"
Rek flipped the pages, a photgrah of several mutilated corpses, definately marines, centered its focus. "What is my asignment?"
The General handed another file over to Rek. Read this over and good luck."
The General dismissed Mirez.

Present Day:
Jacob looked out over the nearly deserted city. It was a hard fight that night, but it looks like he, and the other six made it through. They didn't seem to like to attack at night, unless they are the ones who had learned to use weapons. It was odd, but Jacob knew just how intelligent these creatures were, and the fact that these creatures were so organized, is the real reason he showed up. He knew that someone he used to know was out there leading these things. This was the first outbreak in six years, but every single day, Jacob had waited for news of a second outbreak. Well, it happened, and he was the first person to respond. This time, he was far more prepared. Memories of the past battles were flooding into his mind, and the thoughts of Rek, Kat, Carlos, and David, his old team mates... no friends. They were the reason he even made it, He was making sure that he repaid the favor.

Kat and Shannon were nearing the base and would be there in about 5 minutes or so. Shannon was alseep beside Kat, who was starring off out the window of the copter. She was thinking about what all had gone down six years ago.. Rek, Carlos, and Jacob... She missed her friends and team mates, and wondered if she'd see them here.
Five minutes passed and they soon landed. Kat moved to get up, which woke Shannon. Shannon muttered something and pulled her cap on.Kat smiled and jumped down, taking a quick look around camp before she turned to help her daughter out of the copter. "Mom don't! I can get down on my own. i've done this before." Shannon pushed Kat's hand aside and slid out of the seat. "Yeah I know but I can't help not to act like a mother you know. this stuff just happens on it's own." Shannon rolled her eyes and ducked down, walking out from under the blades of the copter. "What ever... So who do we report to?"

Kenny sat in the passenger side of the armored car he was in. His m4 was laid down on top of his legs and his pistol was still in its holster. The car was full of armed soldiers. "What's with all the protection?" Kenny had asked, with a slight spanish accent, at the beginning of the ride. They only answered with, "Just a precaution." When the armored car neared the base, Kenny could see two helicopters dropping off supplies and soldiers. "I don't think that's just a precaution either." The soldiers stared at Kenny blankly.
The armored car pulled into the base and all the soldiers jumped out. "Lance corporal Kenny Cortez reporting for duty," He said to the soldiers who had gotten off out of helicopters. "I wish I had came in a helicopter."

Kat opened her mouth to answer Shannon when she turned to see Carlos coming towards her. She grinned and hugged him back. “Yeah... About six years long.” Seeing the look he gave Shannon she pulled her daughter over to stand in front of her. “This is Shannon, my daughter. She’ll be helping us with this clean up. She’s a first timer.” About that time the armored car pulled up. She smiled and looked over at Kenny. “Good to have you Corporal. Staff Sargent Katrina Sands, and my daughter Private Shannon Sands.... And the copter was just a quicker way of getting here. I’d rather be on the ground though.”

Lieutenant Rek approached the two choppers. He kept his expression impassive but saluted each of his friends. "Welcome to Ohio people!" Mirez turned his attention across the group. "If you will all follow me." Rek led them over to an erected porta-cabin, that the file he had just finished reading, indicated. A table was situated in the center of a large room with a projecter, radio gear and various screen littered the walls. A stack of files was at one end of the table. "Take a seat." He walked around to the head of the table. "Do any of you have any idea why you are here?" He began...
(Jacob, do I know you are there? What should I do about briefings? Should Rek begin the briefing and you come in as a General or other NPC to finish it? You know more obviously. Otherwise...)
..."If you don't, then you've got the wrong job for starters." (you do not have to follow my post straight away  )

Jack was being transported to the base via helecopter. He had been transferred to Reclaimer due to some reasons beyond him. The helicopter was due to arrive at the base in 5 min.

((Jacob is holed up in a police station in the center of town.))
General Marshal Schuster approached the group rom behind and set his hands down on the table. "Your mission is to go in there and retrieve three main groups of survivors. If you locate any smaller groups, take them along as well. We need to get as many people out of here as possible. Your first target is the movie theater. There are about fifteen survivors in there and it is the closest target to the exit. Once you are there, you can either have them tag along, or escort them back to the evacuation zone. The next target is City Hall. The mayor and six others are trapped inside of the city council's meeting hall. Finally, you'll be heading to the polcie station to recover nine others. We are making you check the station last, because we lost contact with them last night and we do not know if they are even still alive." With a solumn unchanging expression on his face, he looked back at them and turned his back to them. "God's speed. Your ETA to leave is ten minutes."
Jacob looked out through a large hole in the wall of the Police station's northern wall. A squad car was half-way jammed into the hole, and was no longer running. The Amalgamator inside was dead, but still had it's ghostly stare. "We're not going to make it but for a few more nights.." He turned around and made his way over to the radio that was slightly damaged. Pressing the button, he hit the quaranteen station's channel. "We're going... eed to know... evac. Under heav... sault."

"Actually I need a moment of yours." The general put his hand on Rek's shoulder and pulled him aside from the others. "We received a transmission. I know it doesn't seem like anything special, but you served along side him in the first assault. Once again, this would seem to be nothing special, but he was reported as dead by the survivors. This does not bode well. We beleive that Jacob Book, and Ben Sappington are here and they are infected."

Kat stood and stretched, the leather of her belt and boots creaking along with the bones in her back and shoulders. Shannon made a face and reached for one of the files. "Eww.. Mom that's gross." Kat shrugged and put her hand down on the file. "It's Staff Sargent Katrina Sands to you Private. Anyways, Carlos what have you been up to? How did you manage to get pulled into this mess?" She glanced back over her shoulder at Rek and the General when she heard Jacob’s name. ‘Ahh.. So he is alive. Clever fox.'

During the entire speech, Kenny had been spacing out. He had been eying Shannon and giving her winks, but she probably didn't notice. "Hey General," Kenny stood at ease near the general after they had finished speaking. "I heard you said there were survivors. Survivors of what?"

Rek nodded. "It would seem insignificant, yes." Rek cast a glance in the two Sands directions. "But, I believe, even being infected, Jacob Book would still fight for us." He raised the file he had been given earlier. "Ben Sappington had already changed during the first incident." Pausing he handed the General the file.

Shannon had noticed, but all she could do was blush and look down at her hands because every time she'd look up at Kenny, Kat would gently bop her on the head with the folder in her hand. "Is there any way to get in contact with Jacob... If we could tell him where we were he may be able to meet us at the theater and take us to the others safely without having to confront any infected."

The general sighed. "The Delta Contagion is the world's most contagious virus known. It had a 100% fatality record, without the cure. The virus WILL kill you, no matter happens if you don't get the cure within two hours." He sat down and looked over the rifle. "I want you soldiers to stay on guard and if there is no way to save a group of survivors... keep moving. You're our last hope."
The radio crackled again. "The police station is being over-run. We are moving to City Hall... we sustained heavy casualties. It's down to four of us." The radio cut out.

Rek gave Kat a wink and shook his head. "Suit up." He then turned back to the General. "Sir. If Echo's, Reclaimer's and Delta's team leaders don't arrive, I will lead the mission as far as the movie theater with Kat as my second in command. After that I will head for Jacobs last known location directly and create an uplink with them and base." He saluted. "Sir?"
