I believe he's referring to a part in the story for final fantasy 7... where cait sith kidnaps barrets daughter marlene.... although I dont remember that happening..  and to answer that.. they apparently got marlene back, because at the end everything is happy go lucky. I believe cait siths robo moogle broke also

pyroforce14 is, indeed, referring to FF7.
Cait Sith was being controlled by a member of the Shinra Corp (cannot remember who it was), and he kidnapped Marlene before the team made its second attack on the Shinra building: before you fight Hojo.
Cait Sith, the stuffed animal, was more then likely destroyed. But, as he said before putting grabbing the Black Materia from the Ancient Temple:
"There are many stuffed toys, but only one Cait Sith!"
