If you were trapped on a desert island and could only have ten games...
Okay, so this is a little game we did today at work.
Basically, if you were trapped on a desert island, what ten games would you want to have with you?
Or, in other words, what ten games would you be able to play if you only had those to choose from for the rest of your life?
So, list out ten games. It doesn't have to be in order, but if you want to order them, that's fine. The only other real rule we came up with is that you do have access to Xbox Live/PSN/Wii wi-fi.
Here is my list I created:
1. Final Fantasy X
2. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
3. Dragon Warrior
4. Puzzle Quest
5. Call of Duty 4
6. Final Fantasy IV
7. Lost Odyssey
8. Lunar 2: Eternal Blue

It's more difficult than it seems - I deliberated over what game would round out my ten for a good half hour. One of the other guys cheated and put about 4-5 games tied for the tenth spot. I found picking five games much easier, before we decided to expand it to ten.

This is actually quite different than my favorite games list, because if I was assured of not being rescued, I'd want games with a lot of replay value to them. Many great titles don't have replay value. It's not a knock against them, just makes them bad for this situation.
So something like Ocarina would be on my "favorites" list, but not this one, for instance. Same with a lot of RPGs...at least linear ones.

And Half-Life 2 wouldn't make it for me. Way too short, even with the episodes. Great fun, good for a few playthroughs probably. But limited replay value.
Are you forgetting the massive amount of mods for the Half Life franchise?
And HL2 too short?
First time through is roughly 15-20 hours plus 6-8 for two episodes. Thats plenty of gaming.
What I was thinking was that I would take numerous games that would never end (sports or MP) and put some SP games in there to spruce things up because sometimes I dont want to play online. So having the 4 sports games, a couple of online shooters and RTS, and then add some SP games.
I'll substitute TFC because in my opinion, mods would come with games, and add COD4.

I would say Call of Duty 4, but without online capability, it's just too short a game, and I've beaten it several times on Veteran mode. However, it's still an epic game.
