1. FF IX
2. FF X
3.The Legend of Dragoon
4. FF VI
5. FF VII
As for the other five I simply can't choose. To be honest I think my first five are equal (though, I'm sure I might be the only one that enjoyed FF IX and FF VII fanboys are going to disagree.) Also, I didn't think FF VIII is worthy of being in my top 5.

1. Final Fantasy 6
2. Chrono Trigger
3. Seiken Densetsu 3 (Secret of Mana 2)
4. Terranigma
5. Kingdom Hearts
6. Treasure of the Rudras
7. Dark Alliance
8. Super Mario RPG
9. Final Fantasy 5
10. Xenosaga Episode 3
You know, this thread made me realize how few RPGs I actually liked. I'd have trouble making a top-10 list without spamming it with Might and Magic titles.

Skies of Arcadia
Dragon Age: Origins
Grandia 2
Shining force III
Phantasy Star Online
Golden Sun 2
Mass Effect 2
Deus Ex
Neverwinter Nights 2
Panzer Dragoon Saga
Are we talking strictly traditional RPG's or things like Zelda and the more recent castlevanias too?

If people include games like Zelda, then I'd have to add games like Grim Fandango, Beyond Good an Evil and Longest Journey (both games) and revise my top 10.
Although I think Zelda, Grim Fandango and its ilk fall under the Adventure genre.

ok, hmm, then I'm not sure I've played through enough to have a top ten but I'll do my best of the games I've played through all the way and can form an opinion of.-
1. Super Mario RPG
2. Final Fantasy II
3. Final Fantasy IV
4. Final Fantasy IV: The After Years
5. Final Fantasy
6. Dragon Warrior
Once I get around to getting through some of the other RPGs I own, I'll update the list.

1. Star Ocean: Till the End of Time
2. Tales of Phantasia
3. Final Fantasy VII
4. Xenogears
5. Golden Sun
6. Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King
7. Final Fantasy IX
8. Chrono Trigger
9. Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht
10. Xenosaga Episode III: Also sprach Zarathustra
Honorable mentions: Chrono Cross, Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Böse, Suikoden II, Vagrant Story
Ah well, I'll try to do one anyway. In no particular order:
— Mass Effect
— Mass Effect 2
— Icewind Dale
— Diablo 2(not much of a real RPG, but still...)
— Borderlands(same)
— Might and Magic: World of Xeen(IV and V combined)
— Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven
Yea, that's only 7, but I don't want it to get redundant.

It has some RPG elements, but it's no more an RPG than Warcraft 3 is. Saw no reason to list since we have the core Might and Magic games which are real RPGs.
