As for the other five I simply can't choose. To be honest I think my first five are equal (though, I'm sure I might be the only one that enjoyed FF IX and FF VII fanboys are going to disagree.) Also, I didn't think FF VIII is worthy of being in my top 5.

If people include games like Zelda, then I'd have to add games like Grim Fandango, Beyond Good an Evil and Longest Journey (both games) and revise my top 10.
Although I think Zelda, Grim Fandango and its ilk fall under the Adventure genre.

ok, hmm, then I'm not sure I've played through enough to have a top ten but I'll do my best of the games I've played through all the way and can form an opinion of.-

It has some RPG elements, but it's no more an RPG than Warcraft 3 is. Saw no reason to list since we have the core Might and Magic games which are real RPGs.
