There was never a thread for this game, decided to make one.
"The Age of Decadence is a turn-based role-playing video game for Microsoft Windows developed by Iron Tower Studio, led by the pseudonymous "Vince D. Weller". Set in a low-magic, post-apocalyptic world inspired by the fall of the Roman Empire, the game aims to return to the 'golden era' of role-playing games by emphasizing choices and consequences and providing multiple solutions to quests. The game features a detailed skill-based character system, multiple skill-based ways to handle quests, choices & consequences, and extensive dialogue trees.
You arenít a mighty hero smiting evil-doers by the dozen but a regular Joe (or Jane). Youíll be outnumbered and outgunned, so youíll have to figure out how to even the odds, which might take a while. In the meantime, you will die a lot. If that's not your idea of having a good time, youíll be very disappointed.
First-time players should NOT play a jack of all trades (aka master of none), no matter how tempting it might be when youíre creating your character. This is the fastest way to disappointment and rage-quitting. You have to specialize (combat or diplomacy) until youíre more familiar with the overall design and systems and can do more with less.
Your characterís stats, skills, and choices determine what your character can and cannot do, meaning that no matter how you develop your character, you wonít be good at everything and won't be able to do every side quest or explore every location. If this kind of thing bothers you or limits your enjoyment in any way, look for a game thatís more to your liking."
