I just watched this for the first time on DVD, didnīt have time to go the cinema.
And its one of the most confusing movies Ive ever seen, total chaos.
But fun.

Yeah fun, in a gut-wrenching kind of way. 
I'm a major fan, and I was confused to the point that most of the time, STILL, when I watch it, I have no clue what's going on, what the motivation for the characters are, or how any of the magical/epic stuff works.
