The Conspiracy Theory Plot
Why All These Conspiracy Theories?
quote: I mean, why would someone believe this stuff? UFOs? Bigfoot? Faked moon landing? I mean, really, faked moon landing? Come ON.
We have become convinced that there is a secret government program to make people believe crazy conspiracy theories. Why do we think so? Look at the evidence.
And then the site goes on to present several bullet points, but it make sense. If you want to discredit people, what better way than to fill them with the silliest stories you can think of so that most of what they spout is unbelievable?

Of the three things mentioned, Bigfoot is the most likely to be true, and has the strongest evidence in its favor. Which still doesn't amount to much.

The problem with conspiracies is that anyone can make them up with zero evidence. Still, it would be interesting if Bigfoot turned out to be a prehistoric ape or something we haven't discovered yet....

There was a time when Gorillas were a cryptozoological myth to people too.
Still, we've had way too much coverage of the areas in question, the odds are pretty low.
