Hydo-man Vs The Human Torch

Here's a classic and my bets r on torchy.
i mean lets face it i know water douses fire but enough heat evaporates water. and johnny storm has more than enough firepower he would nova in a split second and it would be all she wrote

howeva if they were fighting near a substantial source of water then hydro man would probaly be the victor.

hydroman is pyshically stronger than torchy from the water pressure he generates and is really can't be physically damaged. but johnny torch can burn as hot as a star.

and even if he does lose, you can bet the FF won't be far behind
the torch gets my vote

taking out the torches fire would really kill him, i mean wouldnt it take like 3 second for him just to flame-on again?

I think Hydro-man would win this just because he generally sticks to a regular source of water...and because he would easily be able to put out Torch's flame.

Sure, he could go Nova...but that's not a fight....that's a last ditch tactic.

It takes Torch a while to be able to Flame On again after he's been doused in water. That's what happened when Spidey and Johnny Storm went to the island Venom was on in order to retrieve him for the Carnage saga.

oh alright, then maybe hydro-man has the advantage here, i mean when he's just johnny storm hydro-man could pummel him so its basically an easy battle

hydro man has had a serious upgrade a couple months ago....he can control the water in your body, create mutliples of himself...he can be pretty troublesom...the writing and the art in that issue of FF were pretty bad though...under those circumstances where the writer made THT only slightly more powerful than pyro, Hydroman should have easily killed him...instead he spent his time fighting the Thing who was also wack in that issue...in a good book it would be a pretty excellent fight though...the only thing Johnny could do is use Nova flame to hurt hydroman the only way he could physically at this point: use nova burst to fuse his hydrogen molecules into helium...the only way he can really take on damage

I would say Torch just because Hydro-Man's not particularly bright and I imagine Torch can outsmart him the same way Spidey does over and over and over and over and....

torch, torch wins
torch can fly, has smarts, and his flame power has a good amount of pressure as well, but yeah the nova blasts would own. Hydro would see a man who controls fire, so he would simply think, douse him in h2o....but Torch would kno his own weakness, and thus use his head, prolly take flight, and blast from below, which ......may be pointless, cuz then Hydroman cud just go underground......hmmmm.....TOrch, hes smarter and more powerful. U can't be in the FF and be a C class hero.
