Like his father, Ray has the ability to detect, absorb, and manipulate energy. He can channel solar energy into heated blasts and solid light forms, which could take any shape he imagines, from protective shields to his very uniform. Ray can fly at roughly the speed of light, but he finds difficulty navigating at those extreme velocities. When his powers are at their fullest, Ray is converted into nearly pure energy, and is immaterial to physical attack with no need to breathe. Ray has also learned to bend light around himself to create the illusion of invisibility and to shrink himself down to a laser point. The full potential of abilities remains unknown.
He defeat GL once.

of course the ray beats the FF, he's from DC. And we always see the FF getting beat by moderately powerful individual opponents with inferior intelligence and technology.
