...this is essentially just a 'bump' since I really don't know but am interested in the outcome.

The site doesn't say a ton about Prom. I doubt a hypnotic strobe light would work on Slade. But I don't know enough to say either way definitively.

I doubt he could. Because he wouldn't be equipped to handle Deathstroke. He beat Batman, yes, but apparently also got beat up by Catwoman. Now if he loses to Catwoman unprepared because she is a villain... and Deathstroke is also a villain... Prometheus is gettin hacked up good.

No he was never beat up by Catwoman she whipped him, he was about to use some of his tricks and steel overloaded his Discs. Bats did turn him into a drooling fool through trickery in a later run though again using his tech against him, he downloaded Stephen Hawkins neural patterns into his helmet. Don't rely on what people tell you read the comics yourself dizzle. Otherwise your opinions are based only on rumour.

Keep the faith big grin

I was going by the bio you provided... Which says "Unbeknownst to Prometheus Catwoman was inside the Watchtower, and although she was armed with only a whip Prometheus was not prepared to fight a fellow villain and she was able to take him down. "

Please excuse the misinterpretation of "able to take him down"...

I'd have to give it to deathstroke. Prometheus was also taken out by huntress and would have been killed if Bats didn't save him.

o Omni-cds

Of Prometheus' own design, Omni-CDs are small discs of compiled data that fit into his helmet and are used to download information directly into Prometheus' brain. The CDs are about the size of a standard mini-disc though they are capable of containing giga-bytes of information. Double-sided and scratch-proof, these CDs are slipped into the side of his helmet and laser-read, feeding the information on them through Prometheus' helmet and to his brain and nervous system. His most prized possession, Prometheus' omni-CDs number nearly a thousand and have information on them ranging from obscure historical facts to the most advanced meta-physics. Frighteningly, Prometheus can also load onto these discs nervous system information compiled from observing others. Batman got a first-hand demonstration of this when Prometheus loaded an Omni-CD containing The Batman's own fighting skills to use against him.

o Costume

Prometheus' costume is a marvel of technology. Made of a bullet and fire-resistant Kevlar/Nomex weave and re-inforced along the shoulders and forearms with heavy armor, his costume provides a great deal of physical protection. The suit also acts as an advanced interface for his helmet, helping feed information through-out his nervous system far more swiftly than would be possible with the helmet alone. In addition, the costume contains a pair of deadly weapons in the fore-arm gauntlets; a pair of multi-use guns in which Prometheus houses various toxins, poisons and even standard bullets.

o Helmet

Created by Prometheus, his helmet is used for more than just cranial protection. Acting as a launch-pad for his Omni-CDs, Prometheus' helmet uses advanced systems to load information straight into his brain and nervous system, allowing him to have almost any conceivable knowledge readily at his fingertips. In addition, Prometheus' helmet is decked out with an advanced light-system that can be used to create hypnotic as well as disorienting strobe effects. Recently, Prometheus has upgraded his helmet to treat his brain as something akin to "flash memory", allowing him to store Omni-CDs without the helmet actually being on. Of course, this doesn't allow him the wide access of knowledge as he would have at his fingertips with the back-up memory of his helmet, but it's still nice to have certain knowledge at his fingertips without having to rely on the helmet itself. Finally, the helmet comes complete with its own oxygen supply and filtration system in case of loss of atmosphere.

o Tonfa

Prometheus preferred weapon is an absolute marvel of technology. Though true to its core design (that of a dual-handled, ultra-versatile, close and melee-combat, bludgeoning weapon), Prometheus personally designed tonfa is much, much more. Housing both a high-powered current-producing voltage generator as well as a seismic repeater, this particular tonfa goes far beyond what one would expect. Keyed to both his helmet as the master control, as well as a simple activation stud slaved to the helmet, the voltage generator can be activated to sheathe the tonfa in voltage in strength ranging from stunning to beyond lethal. Most fearsome though is the tonfas seismic charger, a device built into the handle that causes barely perceivable oscillations along the business end of the weapon. Combined with a cylindrical-gyroscopic core of Prometheus own design, this makes the weapon feel incredibly light, while enabling it to deliver blows that shatter steel as the oscillations set up vibrations within objects that cause them to break apart as if they were brittle as glass. Prometheus has been known to effortlessly demolish steel anvils and crumble concrete slabs with little more than casual swings of his deadly weapon.

I wasn't finished...

quote:
o Strobe

Built into Prometheus helmet is a sophisticated light array that he employs for various effects. At their most mundane setting, the lights merely provide illumination, but they are also capable of creating disorienting strobe effects as well as flickering in precise patterns that (in combination with subtle cues from Prometheus) can actually hypnotize others. Recently, Prometheus has added to the capability of these lights, increasing their repeat capacity as well as adding to their luminance in order to create dazzling light patterns that can actually induce epileptic seizures. In addition, Prometheus has added sound generators to his helmet that interfere with the inner ear of those around him, resulting in temporary loss of balance and vertigo.

o Counter measures

Among his vast array of weaponry and gadgets, Prometheus uses a number of hero "counter-measures" tailor-made to exploit various weaknesses, or to act as counters to, the common powers of super heroes he encounters. A (non-comprehensive) list of his most common counter-measures along with their uses follows.

1. Neurotoxin: A favorite of Prometheus. These toxins (usually delivered in darts) attack the nervous system, inducing paralysis of limbs and (in sufficient doses) of all muscle groups resulting in localized and/or complete loss of motor functions or even death (the heart is a muscle, after all). Specialized versions of these toxins have even been created to arrest the shape-changing abilities of such heroes as the Martian Manhunter and Plasticman by impeding their bodies ability to form polymer chains, in effect reducing their bodies to liquid.

2. Neural Chaff: Counter-measure of choice against Green Lanterns. Neural Chaff (another of Prometheus own inventions) is an invisible, microscopic material that impedes the brains abilities to form cohesive mental images. Naturally, this entirely disrupts a Green Lanterns capability to operate his ring. <cont in Counter Measures 2>

o Counter measures 2

3. Speed Force Mines: A recent invention, these mines are able to vibrate themselves to speeds that put them out of synch with the corporeal world. Harmless to everyone but those that possess super-speed, the mines detonate as soon as any speedster within 10 feet travels at accelerated velocity with the aid of the speed force. The mines detonation is a wave of concussive force that ripples out on a vibratory plane shared only by super-speedsters. They have an effective blast radius of 15 feet and have about the impact of a small grenade. Naturally, these mines are extremely expensive to create and so Prometheus is somewhat limited in his supply of them. Even so, hes eager to test them out on a certain ruby runner.

4. Spider-lines: Another recent creation by Prometheus in an attempt to counter those with super-speed, these ultra-thin lines of high-tensile polymer are all-but invisible to the naked eye. Stored in spool-form in compartments in his belt, or fired to trail behind darts from his gauntlets, these near-invisible, delicate lines of diamond-sharpened polymer follows a basic principle: garroting those that move too fast for their own good. Harmless to those moving at sub-sonic speeds since theyre too brittle to cause injury before they break, theyre capable of deep lacerations when collided with at high speed. <cont in Counter Measures 3>

o Counter measures 3

5. De-hydrant Spray: Expelled from capsules, or fired from CO2 cartridges in his gauntlets, this designer-made pollen-like granule is stored in airtight, water-less containers. When placed on a porous surface, the granules quickly soak up any available H2O, drawing it out of the material they are placed on. Similarly, the gas form of this substance draws moisture out of the air as the gas forms into clumps of pollen-like residue that hardens into a cornflake-like crust. While potentially dangerous to humans, this substance is nearly fatal to Atlanteans and those who similarly must maintain environmental and internal balances of water to survive as it robs them of the hydration they require to survive while outside of the ocean.

6. Red Bomb: Not actually an explosive, the red bomb was developed by Prometheus after researching the files he stole from the Watchtower concerning Superman. The red bomb is an experimental device about the size of a ping-pong ball that emits a burst of concentrated electrons that mimic the frequency of red sunlight. Theoretically, Prometheus hopes to use this device to arrest Supermans super powers for (at least) a few moments. Optimistic about the testing hes done, Prometheus has estimated he could rob the man of steel of his powers for roughly nine seconds. Granted, its no Kryptonite, but Prometheus hopes to put it to good use and has begun to mount such devices on his helmet strobe arrays. The major downside of the device is that the energetic nature of the burst immediately burns out the bomb. Meaning, he only gets one use out of it, giving him a scant window of only a handful of seconds to contend with the last son of Krypton. <cont in Counter Measures 4>

o Counter measures 4

7. Shriekers: Insidious little devices about the size of a quarter, shriekers are noise-creators that emit a piercing high-frequency sound capable of doing temporary damage to eardrums as well as causing intense pain.

8. Goo: Aptly named, this substance is a sticky, non-porous material that adheres to any surface. Worst of all, the viscous substance has incredible elasticity and has to be stretched to great extremes (a tear-drop of the substance can stretch over five feet before snapping), making it ideal for blocking the nostrils and mouth of victims. Burning it off is the preferred method of removal, or exposing it to temperatures in excess of 110 degrees, which will quickly cause the substance to become dry and brittle.

An impressive skill-set, but if powerful telepaths can't take over and/or read Slade's mind, I doubt the neural chaff would work. DS would still have the big advantage in the actual fighting, though all of that stuff, including the impressive number of counter-measure options, might make it a lot closer fight for Prometheus.
