Bruce Lee was the master, actually there's no one who has reached ranks near his level, maybe Dan Inosanto, maybe.
Jet Li is a great fighter ok, but Bruce Lee was THE fighter.
A lot of Masters surpasses Bruce Lee's skill level. Bruce Lee was the one that made kung fu popular, but it doesn't mean he is the greatest. Bruce Lee fights more like a street brawler, whatever is effective, but Jet Li uses actual kung fu moves. that's how i see it. That's why even though bruce lee is the bomb, jet li will still beat him.

Possibly just a rumour. But I remember hearing something about Lee being able to retract his testicles so that he's not even vulnerable to a groin kick. Now that's a kung fu master.
actually that's why bruce lee will win. jet li uses too many forms and moves in his fighting. bruce lee doesn't use any fancy stuff. its pure speed and power and effectiveness. no other kung fu expert developed a style quite like bruce lee.
bruce lee's fighting style is not pretty to see, that's because he made it as practical as possible for fighting purposes.
Its only fancy if there's no force behind it...Wushu practitioners practice like dancing...but a pure kung fu fighter doesn't fight like street brawl...it'll be easy for jet li to counter bruce's staight up attack...both have force behind their attacks, but Jet Li has gone deeper with his training than Bruce.

Jet Li's northern style is crap for fighting. Bruce Lee lost a lot of fights, (he didn't pay enough attention in his Wing Chun class) but he could certainly beat Jet Li.
not so, jet li has gone deeper into his shaolin training while bruce has gone deeper with his own personal training. oh and bruce couldn't go too deep coz he died.
What!?
And people, Jet Li was never a amster, he don't even train effective martial art, he never trained Kung Fu.. Bruce Lee was master of Kung Fu.
But when Bruce Lee discovered limitaion of Kung Fu, he began to teach himslef ground fighting, wrestilng.. I don't think Jet Li ever even tried that.
