no way Metallo wins = Metallo's upgrades increased his strength, durability and bulk to compensate for the loss of his kryptonite heart to Lex Luthor, but they never matched his original lethality. Corben's brain is contained in a very durable metal skull that has numerous redundant systems, so the Man of Steel often feels that he doesn't have to hold back against Metallo in the same way he would have to against a normal living foe. A common failing in all these bodies was the connection between Metallo's head and the body, a weakness Superman and others were more than happy to exploit. Metallo's deal with Neron removed this weakness and gave Metallo the ability to restructure any machinery he came into contact with into a new custom body. There seemed to be no limitation to the size of body he could create, but unlike the similarly powered Cyborg (Hank Henshaw) Metallo never had the fine control of imagination to make full use of this ability.
