Hercules from Marvel against himself - remember the old cartoon, where Herc looked like a cross between Superman and Dick Tracy? From the people who brought us Rocket Robin Hood!!
That Herc had all his godly strength in a ring, which on Earth he had to put on (natch many times didn't put it on fast enough, and the present peril punked him), held it up and lighting blasted into it - why not just always keep it on?
Also, he had the help of two centaurs, Newton and little flute-playing Toot; often needed their help, so they can get into this fight.

Dude, Toot isn't a centaur he's a satyr. The only other centaur that I can recall was Notwen but he was just someone in a dream that Newton had, he wasn't real.
