Galactus is above the Watcher, the Watcher himself acknowledged this in Galactus first appearance in the FF in the 60s. Take him away and the team goes down. But G could do it by himself.

That team wins anyways, Galactus isn't even the most powerful on it by a long shot. lol.
Even without Galactus they have.... Parallax, Spectre, Imperiex, and even Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet.

yeah in the what if..Galactus ended up eating the Watcher! haha, sparing the world. The watcher in the what if said that he took so long to tell us that story, b/c in that story "I died" he said.
