The Maker is hardly the same as Kosmos.
The Maker was vulnerable, because of its insanity in Mortal form.
(and it still could have wiped out the Universe with a whim had it not been insane)
Thanos also admits that he only defeated the Maker because of it was in Mortal form.

Kosmos = in Cube being form (near invulnerable)
... not insane ... universal warper, with the Full power of the PF at its disposal.
Maker = in Mortal form (vulnerable)
... insane ... potentially universal destroyer that can't be realized due to insanity.

I know hence my reasons for saying that Darkseid in her current form will be capable of defeating her.

Darkseid can probably beat the Maker just like Thanos did.
But Darkseid would lose to Kosmos just like Thanos would.
Actually it states that she went insane when she took on Mortal form (the Maker)
The difference?
