Mixing manga/animé characters with comic characters doesnt seem to be a good idea. Japanese culture has created a fantasy world of their own around their fictional characters, that in much cases is not comparable at all with the western fictional characters.
e.g. Saint Seiya Characters... The most powerful characters (Gold saints), all they reach speed light, can move freely among dimensions, among galaxies, they can go to the world of the spirits, heaven or hell at will, they can come back from death. They reincarnate, some of them seem to have unlimited strength, create ilusions, control minds, etc.
So, the most powerful Saints (Gold, and the 5 aforementioned bronze saints) seem to have a serios advantage over most (or all) of western comic characters.
Saint Seiya is my favorite manga/anime ever.

I'm a huge fan of the Saint Seya too, and now anything about them.
I do believe, they can make it to the Avengers, and successfully battle Thor, who'll need to use many of his abilities to restrain and destroy them.
In the saga of the Sanctuary of Athens they showed great strength, durability and obviously the ability to reach lightspeed.Most of their attacks have a great magnitude of power, able to destroy even the twelve zodiacal temples.I think they would do good with the JLA too, which on the roster counts more powerhouses than a common Avengers roster
