The New Avengers #29 preview shows him handling Sentry, Wonder Man, and Ms. Marvel.

previews are rarely accurate

That and he has been beaten by quite a lot of people lately, including Sentry, Ghost rider, thugs, ninjas, etc.

Validus doesn't recall saying previews were always accurate. He was actually just using it as an example.

Strange's value as a plot device is obviously going to be downplayed thanks to him being on a team where the 2nd strongest member is Luke Cage.

Unless overpowering one spell (seemed more like he was trying to get information anyway) equals him losing...

He held back against Ghost Rider, and hell, he basically split him in half too. Held back though, as evident by the comic, and fight.

He isn't be depowered... it's the thugs, and hand ninjas that are being powered up... stick out tongue
