star brand vs IG

how powerful is the star brand and is it a match for the IG

The Star Brand and its power can be transferred to another person, but former owners are always left with a remaining residue of about 10% of its power, a residue which regenerates and in time will grow to equal that of the original. In the series it was stated that the power of the brand is infinite. So 10% of infinite power is still infinite power.

The Stranger's first action after taking possession of the Star Brand was to move the earth of the New Universe into the Marvel Universe and place it in orbit around his labworld. His intention was to use it for his experiments. This was prevented when the Living Tribunal arrived and judged the Star Brand to be a threat to the hierarchy of the cosmic powers of the Marvel Universe. A barrier was placed around the New Universe earth in order to quarantine it from the rest of the universe.

New Universal is a good read as well smile

Thanos w/IG did alot
Warlock w/IG challenged LT

Ereshkigal w/SB challenged LT
Starbrand is quite powerful

I would go with the starbrand as an internal power over the IG which is external....but the starbrand does not have a fraction of the feats the IG does..... to be fair i would say the IG based on feats

On the other hand Threatening the LT and making him set up a contest for the multiverse rather than take out erishikal is a awesome feat in itself

By on panel feats the IG definitely wins out. By character regard, i'd also say the IG, because while it was illustrated that LT was unsure of how he'd fare in battle with the IG, against the StarBrand LT claimed to be superior to it. So my vote goes for the IG.

Plus the Starbrand may be an awesome Tatoo but nothing beats gripping the IG and going

" I will myself back...to FULL POWER!!!"

With DBZ esq effects happening. T'is mucho awesome.
