Gambit could take care of the crabs, leaving the other four members to deal with Cloverfield.
Storm will be striking the monster with powerful lightning strikes, Cyclops can just let loose with his omega blast, Wolverine can climb onto the beast and just cut him up, and Cloverfield will have no way of removing Logan. And Colossus can serve as the decoy of Cloverfield's attacks since he is invulnerable.
I don't know. They could probably drive it off somehow if they're smart about it, but that thing did pretty much shake off that stealth bomber dropping hell on it with no lasting ill affects. That's some serious durability there.

The US military couldnt stop the thing, and the only way to kill it was to nuke all of manhattan, im pretty sure 5 xmen wouldnt beable to stop it, the thing was taking bombs from those B2 stealth bombers
The thing with bombing is that, even with a direct hit, at least half of the bomb's energy would never even touch the beast (due to the spherical wavefront of the explosion). Anything not a direct hit: you have not only the above, but also the blast power diminishing very quickly due to the inverse square law effect.
In any event: that Clovie would have this kind of "broad force" durability sort of make sense: it would need it to be able to handle deep-ocean pressure. But like with Wonder Woman, it may have far less durability with regard to concentrated force, such as what Cyclops, Wolverine or Storm could deliver (especially from the inside; see my prior post).
At the very least, Storm could also create a vacuum around it and asphyxiate it.

Storm would take the monster alone she would either make multiple tornadoes or multiple lighting bolts and if not kill the creature then greatly hurt it enought for the others to take it...
