A shield formed like Captain America's can't bounce of walls and return to the attacker, so if Captain America throws his shield, his only defence is gone...
Spiderman's insane speed and strenght is just too much for any human skills to keep up with, peak or not.
Agreed. Captain America is like 3,4 or 5 times faster then a normal man where Spider-Man is 18 times faster. Captain America is like 4 times stronger then a normal man where Spider-Man is like 40 times stronger then a normal man.
Using logic nobody turns into a super human being after being bitten by a radioactive spider they actually would die so using logic a well trained soldier would beat a photographer.
Logic dictates that a super venomous spider... biting a teenager... would kill him... therefore peter parker died as a teenager...
however Captain America is simply a man hopped up on steroids...
so logic dictates that a man hopped up on steroids would easily beat a man that was suffering from being inoculated with venom.
ie. cap wins.

"in some cases because the writer knows that Character A will dominate Character B easily and refuses to allow this to happen for the sake of the story."
Peter would be slowly dying of cancer because of his radioactive bite from that spider. But lets say he still has his powers while dying.
Cap throws his shield and it misses peter and clanks to the floor.
Peter connects with a kick slightly(cap dodges it a bit) and sends cap flying 30 feet away. and lands and breaks sevral ribs and his arm is fractured.
Cap then has a heart attack from all the steroids he had previously consumed.
This is Spiderman, meaning he already HAVE his powers.
You people need to put more thought into it when you try to make others look stupid, 'cause you are basically only hitting yourself.
After having had his powers all those years, nope. The spider don't works like a poison, but a mutation. Certain mutations can in fact be survived.
And no matter how strong Spiderman is, his speed limits the connectingpower a kick from him can deal. But it is still more than enough to kill Captain America.

I don't know why some of you are going on about being right and winning. Rob and Impediment were in on this gag because I PMed them. Silent and Rao PMed me and figured I changed the post. I highly doubt anybody thought Quan made the post, but simply played along just for the lulz.
Logic would dictate that a radioactive spider bite would be poisonous.

Not exactly. Radioactive waves have different effects. If the spider was poisonous, the molecular structure of the poison was affected. Since the bite gave him powers, it's poison was changed a lot, so it didn't exactly had to be dangerous.
Sorry, but logically, a radioactive spider bite would kill someone, not give them powers.
