Catman vs Wildcat

Following the end of Salvation Run and the subsequent imprisonment and escape from Apokolips, the various surviving villains found themselves scattered randomly across the face of the Earth.

Catman had been standing next to Ragdoll and Scandal Savage talking about reforming the team again when the stolen (by Desaad) zeta-beam was activated. They had decided to set up shop in Opal City this time. However, when the beam activated it separated the trio. Catman woke up on the pavement of some city he did not recognize.

The good news was that when the government had sent him off to the other planet they had taken his costume, so at the moment he was not really noticeable, not that the few people walking the streets so late at night would notice.

Tom decided that his next step would be to get to Opal City as quickly as possible. Hopefully his teammates would arrive their too and they could plan their next course of action.

The problem was that Tom had no money for bus fare or food. Luckily he had been transported right beside a clothing store.

Using an ordinary hairpin Tom kept in his hair for just such an occasion that the government had overlooked, Tom called upon his old cat burglary skills to break in through the backdoor. Tom quickly looted the cash register, grabbed a cool pair of shades, and was about to leave but someone was blocking the door.

"You know, after a hard day of fighting super-powered crazies and giant monster, it feels good to pound on an ordinary burglar," said Wildcat calmly balling one fist into another hand, "now how about you come along peacefully to the police station and you won't have to find out what that feels like."

"Sorry old man," replied Tom, "but I just got out of a really bad jail and I don't feel like going back."

"Well, if you insist." Wildcat and Catman charged at each other.

Will Wildcat be able to send this villain to prison? Or will Catman be able to escape and make it to the bus and Opal City?

Remember, this is current, useful Catman without his gadgets versus Wildcat without his nine lives.
