The fight begins when Dragon witnesses Luke Cage savagely beat down the Vulture in his civilian clothes, not knowing why Cage beat the seemingly old, and festered senior citizen into dreamsville, he launches an attack upon him.

The Dragon appears to be as strong or stronger than the Thing of the 1980's (85+ ton range), extremely fire resistant, very agile (somewhere between Captain America and Night Crawler), a capable street fighter (more of a pugilist mixed with judo, than a pure martial artist). The Dragon also possesses a strong healing factor, and can regenerate lost body parts, and his tough skin was able to resist high caliber bullets.
