King Hyperion wins this. Gladiator had a hard time with regular Hyperion. Hyperion said he could not match Gladiator because Gladiator didn't use restraint. Basically he was used to fighting. King Hyperion has crazy fighting experience.....and I am pretty sure he beat the Gladiator in his universe
Gender: Male Location: Drinking gasoline. Pissing napalm.
Glads didn't have difficulty with Hyperion. And King Hyp had difficulty with two Hyperions. He said the only reason he was beating them was because, "You might be man enough, but you're not MEAN enough!" Implying they were holding back against him. Otherwise...
lose his confidence? You have to straight up stone cold effortlessly stop Gladiator's mightiest attacks in order for him to lose confidence. King Hyperion aint doing that. Glads would win after a good hard fight each and every time.
Even than losing his confidence is usually used as a plot device.
It's used when he underestimates his opponents ability that type of incident occur. But just because someone is more powerful than him it does not make him lose confidence automatically.
It is used by writers to get weaker characters to beat him, or at least give reasons to reason why he lost.
