Walker vs the Growing Gauntlet

what can i say--i like this format and it's led to some good discussion and i've learned some thing. smile

anyway, walker's a character i find pretty interesting. how many of these guys does it take to take him out? remember--starts with one, and as soon as that one is in trouble, the second comes in (instantly) then the third if needed, and so on . . . here's the roster:

1. keeper
2. thanos
3. asgardian destroyer
4. superboy prime
5. ganthet
6. superman 1M
7. tyrant (depowered)
8. classic dr. strange
9. odin
10. ego
11. surtur w/twilight
12. tenebrous

quite a powerful group. how many can this death god take?

Hmm...

I'd say 3-4, and no further than 1-5 combined. The combined might of those 5 should overwhelm him. Walker was no joke though. He had the worship of numerous galaxies empowering him as a death god. IIRC, he even threatened the Abstract Death herself.

apparently she felt threatened enough to 'hide' herself inside the soul of a mortal woman. but that never made sense to me, because death proved she was superior to walker [by quite a margin] at the end of the issue. confused

anyhow, walker was powerful enough to own thor, genis, and thanos, rather easily. but i'd say the combined might of 1-4/5 would be enough to take him down.

i read he actually frightened death, was leagues beyond thanos in power and another thread somewhere suggested he would easily defeat a regular powered galactus. if that were true, i'd say he'd likely get past the first 5 without much problem. i never read the thanos arc where he was introduced though, hence this gauntlet.

and it's the regular destroyer with loki powering it. smile

Yeah I wonder why thanos and Death feared for Death own existence...??? and when match(in this forum) Walker vs Atum the God Eater, Atums seems to EAT him???......its weird, so a Atum vs Death is not such a long shot match??

MY logic? blink

i said i READ it somewhere. i didn't say i subscribed to the notion. i really had no idea where walker fell. just heard some things that made me think he COULD POSSIBLY be above a reasonably powerful galactus. that's pretty powerful, hence this gauntlet to let me get a better gauge on his level.

walker only appeared in "captain marvel" v3 #17-18. his best feats were killing every being in his galaxy, and beating thor, genis, and thanos, collectively - though during their first encounter, those three actually managed to banish walker. so... *shrug*

anyhow, i never once got the feeling walker was on par with galactus.

like i began explaining in a previous post, the only reason death didn't kill walker from the start, was because she loved him and did not want to end his life prematurely.

but once walker really pissed death off, she owned him with ease:

ahhh . . . see. that's why i do these threads. another myth busted. walker really wasn't "all that" like i'd been reading. 1-5 at most should pretty much be able to handle him i'd think.

gracias. smile

thumb up Exactly. Death wasn't afraid of him because he was more powerful than her. Rather, Thanos explained that she is the most merciful of the abstracts and didn't want to destroy him and the souls he scarified because of her.

Walker stops at 3. Keeper + most recent Thanos < CM + Thor + Thanos that banished him before, but not by much. Add in Destroyer to the mix, and he gets stopped.

also how coud he "kill" Death anyway, i mean she IS Death and even Walker can be killed so that dont make no sense

its not like hes PR Beyonder or abstrat level or somethin

or if he coud erase a universe then that woud "kill" this Death along with it, but he dont have that lvl o power AFAIK
