At the conclusion of the series it showed him as being very powerful and wise in the use of his power.

He is not at full potential but he is not the novice of BOOKS OF MAGIC any longer,.

during the final issue of "RiH", lobo collectively shitstomped doctor fate, ragman, zatanna, blue devil, sargon, etc. in no way/shape/form is tim > that team of magicians.
