Eclipso's power levels are all over the place. the level of his power is directly related to how many shards of the black Crystal/Diamon (which contains his full essence) he has acquired.

To be fair every time Eclipso has beaten Sectre under his own power Spec was in the weaker Unbound state.

In the Broze age Eclipso himsefl severed the bond between Spectre and Corrigan and was winning. Once Corrigan regained it he kicked his @$$

In countdown to mystery Crispus hadn't fully accepted the burden of being bound and was still being convinced.
