Thor (B&T) vs Thanos

Thor with Power Gem and his B&T warrior madness vs Thanos. Fight takes place on an empty planet and Thanos will try to kill Thor instead of contain him. Thanos will go all out as will Thor. Could Thanos beat Thor? No BFR.

Thanos has no access to his Anti-PG Thorrifle, right?

Thanos goes down. If that fight had continued, someone would have won, and it wouldn't have been the Titan, he knew that.

Thor goes down. Thanos hung with Odin for awhile and has battled Tyrant. Eventually Thanos was going to beat Thor.

Thanos wins. He's been upgraded a few times since their last fight.

Eventually? In that fight Thanos said (or thought) something along the lines of "his power is increasing exponentially" (I don't have the comic right now) Basically he said Thor was getting continuously stronger all the time, with teh PG there's no limit to how strong he could get.

What I'm saying is that if the fight were to last to a point where anything was "eventually" going to happen, it would be Thor "eventually" having to clean Thanos' brains off of his hammer.

At that time, Thanos might have lost... now, I think he could figure out a way to win.

Thanos was holding his own in that fight but that's it. If it had gone on longer, he would have lost. Thor could and would get strong enough to put Thanos in the ground if pushed far enough. I'm guessing at some point he'll just get fed up and a scene similar to his win over Adam/Strange will occur. I.e. there's a surge and Thanos ends up missing a head.

Thanos best bet is to take the Gem, if he doesn't, it's only a matter of time before the Odinson leans on it's power to finish it.

Frankly, if taking the Gem off was a viable option, I would have figured someone would have tried it at some point. It was glued to his forehead. Speculation but whatever.

I hate how they totally didn't respect Doctor Strange's power in that story, they made him into a useless side character mad

I agree he really sucked. He did nothing of value. Actually the same is true for SS who was casually taken out in one hit...

Thanos and Warlock tend to shine in a Starlin written story over everybody else. It's kind of his thing. Thor got a fair bit of love from the guy strangely enough. Not only during Blood and Thunder.

Even Warlock sucked in that arc... to me only Thor and Thanos got good showings. Or how about when Thor (with no PG) soloed the whole infinity watch? I mean sorry but I just could not believe he'd beat:

Beta Ray Bill
Sif
SS
Warlock
The IW

all in one sitting? No, sorry, i don't buy it.

Warlock got some decent showings, I felt. Especially when fighting Ulik's brother.

Warlock had his time to shine here and there, it just wasn't very evident. He mostly got a play on his intelligence and one good combat showing when they were captured by the trolls.

Sorry brah, Thor has a tendency to kick ass when pushed far enough. Kind of a recurring theme with the character. Here he was simply walking around in ass kicking mode.
