Sodam's 'career' started out strong as hell. As a rookie GL he tanked a detonation capable of destroying multiple planets, he tanked Anti-Monitor's blasts, etc.

Then he gets the fraggin power of ION, and gets utterly STOMPED by Prime..? Then, hundreds of years in the future (during Lo3W), he gets utterly stomped by Prime AGAIN. Aside from allowing him to transform a red sun into a yellow sun, the Ion power did absolutely nothing for Sodam as far as I'm concerned.
