Punisher has been informed of the criminal "The Joker". He realizes that Batman won't do, what he thinks is necessary: Killing the Joker. Punisher prepares for this hit for months, while he thinks that Joker won't know what is coming, but 1 week before Punisher plans to kill the Joker, one of his informants (Who survived Punisher's massacre of the group (Without his knowledge) overhears Punisher saying that he is going after their boss next. Punisher has had months of prep and finds out Joker's whereabouts. Joker has only 1 week of prep and decides to stay at his base because he thinks that it will be funny to watch Punisher try to break in. Can Punisher complete this task and finally kill the Joker once and for all?
It's not unlike Joker to kidnap some innocent people and let Frank know he did that. Assuming he knows Frank doesnt kill innocents. IMO it could go either way. But even if Punisher gets the job done a lot of people will die. Bad and good.

Think that Punisher pulls it off. Your talking about 2 very different Modus operandi and Punisher's stealth is top notch though still under the bat. I don't think Joker would find him and any henches sent after Frank would be gunned down. Also if he knows Jokers hideout if he really didn't want to get too close and personal I wouldn't put it past castle to snipe him out. Also a lot of Joker's games are dependent of the Bat's morals. He forces Batman's hand to choose between capturing him and saving people quite often. Frank would just put a bullet in his head.
