Celestial vs Watchers
Against an "average" Celestial, how many Watchers would it take to win a majority against it? 1? 5? 100? More? What do you guys think?

It'd have to be at least a Maradona (2 Watchers), imo.

That entire arc was . God how I hate the FF series sometimes.
A far more interesting take on the Celestial/Watcher power difference :
(please log in to view the image)
Watchers : If the Prime Celestial Host can't do anything, woe unto us.
That basically said it all. Celestials > Watchers.

I'm not sure that counts as an "average" celestial in terms of power. Didnt a watcher give Galactus a fight once?

Good so we're on the same page.
I know you hated the arc but my scene was more interesting though.
Exitar actively displaying on panel how far beyond they are.

That basically said it all. Celestials > Watchers. To be fair that was Exitar, not the average celestial.

When did this happen in 616 reality? I know that in various What If and Alternate Realities a Watcher (usually Uatu and one time Ecce) has thrown down against Galactus. But those are What Ifs and Alt Realities and don't count for anything 616 power level wise.

That's what I was asking. I remember seeing it online, but I guess it might have been the what if you mentioned.

There was another encounter in a What If, the 200th issue. This time Uatu won, but since these are all alt realities.....

A single Watcher vs a single Celestial, will imo lead to a win for the Celestial eventually. What I however would like to point out is that it toke Exitar eons to built up the energy required to slay The One. So I think ultimately that the Celestial and the Watcher are closer then people think. Also remember that the Watchers so far are the only race that have survived the fourth Host giving them a thumb down. Repelling the Fourth Host is no small feat.

Hey there good friend.
A little clarification, the Ecce fight was not a What if.
It was a standalone Marvel titled story. (9 issues the arc expanded)
It was 616 Galactus in the future, (100 million years from now)
by then he had uber cosmic scale energy contained from the years of consumption.
Big G and Ecce destroyed all reality in their battle, finally Galactus won and Ecce died.
Then Galactus created the next Marvel Universe by ripping his chest open
which poured out of him big bang style.
*note
The point of the story was Byrne introducing Galactus great purpose in Marvel,
aside from balancing it with his existence,
which is to re-create the Marvel Universe
with the energy he consumes across his life-time.
That aside, while this was 616 Galactus' future self,
like all Timelines outside the present,
it did take place in an alternate reality.
That is, another potential future.

I just forget that garbage FF story ever happened and ignore it. Terrible stuff.
And yes Celestials >> Watchers.
