Also worth noting: DC demons are fallen angels. Lucifer took about 1/3rd of the "all but infinite" Heavenly Host with him when he rebelled. The remaining 2/3rds didn't think they could beat Lucifer without Michael, which all but confirms that Lucifer is greater than the sum of the rest of the demons.

Good thing that Nekron isn't merely Death/Death Abstract. But you must have already known that.
Then why did Death visit him? Didn't he die and reform himself?
Also worth noting that Nekron has power over all those who have ever died and he rules 1/3 of the afterlife. The Purgatory that rests between Heaven and Hell.
Again, what's Lucifer gonna do vs Nekron and his team. If Nekron don't want them to die, they ain't dying. And since Lucifer is merely God's Will (and not His power like Michael is) he's SOoL.

it wasn't the basanos that hurt him. they foresaw what he was going to do and tricked him with the help of izanami. it was lucifer's OWN power that burned him. and even THEN he wasn't at full power since he was missing feathers from his wings that were replaced by izanami for the express purposes of this specific attack.
and of course, there's the little fact that lucifer defeated michael in combat, though it's true both were hurting.
both would win this fight, and most of the demons would be canon fodder. nekron appeared to be powerful, but he didn't have enough definition imo to say he could last against lucifer. at the least, i see no way nekron could beat morningstar so i suppose depending on how much you buy into nekron's history, it could be a stalemate i guess.
