No, he just has a bigger fan base. R Man (marvel for those who aren't sure) is physically stronger, has just as strong shields, can control and discharge any form of radiation, including electromagnetic and can turn off the powers of virtually any other powered individual.

Not sure how Magneto could put him down without bringing up incredibly low showings.
