This thread is similar to the Red Son arc. Three identical baby Supermen crash lands someplace other than Smallville and raised by three single fathers.
Superman A) Latveria and was raised by Dr. Doom
Vs
Superman B) Sanctuary. Thanos raises baby Kal El instead of Gamora
Vs
Superman C) Egypt, raised by Apocalypse.
The three are fighting in an indestructible UFC Octagon scaled up ten times. Fight to the death. All three know they are being raised for combat, but don't know who their opponents are. Fight takes place on their twentieth birthday.
1. PC Supermen
2. DCnU Supermen
3. Loebforce Supermen

Power levels are the same initially, the ony difference is upbringing and who trained them to use their powers. Doom tech, celestial tech, and Thanos tech are available. As are any combat related skills that may be learned.
I mean in a lot of ways all three "fathers" are similar, but out of the three Thanos is the only one who I'd argue would care enough to train Kal to reach his potential rather than just as the means to an end, ala Gamora.
Essentially I imagine Thanos would be the one to see Kal as more of a person than a weapon, and would train/raise him with in line with that; which imo would make the difference.
I mean sure a similar argument could be made for Doom, with the comparison of Kristoff with Gamora- but I think there you can see the difference in that Doom kept Kristoff around so he could use him as a backup for his own brain as opposed to what seemed like genuine affection from Thanos.
Apoc, I think he is most likely to hand out the bigest uppgrades. He might even make an exception and honor supes with becoming his new host even if he is no Homo Superior.
Doom is too selfish to push Kal to his full potential and for all Gamora`s training and deadliness Thanos did not nearly enhance her nearly as much as he could have.
Superman B because the Father/Son chats would be so amusing.
"Hey, Dad. Remember that one time you dropped the cosmic cube? You were all like 'Oh no!' and then tripped over yourself after you made with the earth shaking. Then Spiderman stole i--"
"Silence, Kal-El, or I won't let you borrow the Infinity Gauntlet."
If Doom was intelligent -let's assume he is for the sake of the argument-, he'd teach Kal magic, which would come to be extremely useful against the Supermen he's facing. Then Kal would put an S on his chest that would stand for "Sorcerer Supreme".
I would give it to doom superman if he was tought magic but honestly given how doom is I would figure he would find out his weakness and keep the magic as a trump card. If he teach him anything I'm not sure to what level it would be so it's effectiveness is a bit questionable but still a edge against other supermen.
Thanos? Good teacher/father figure. My top pick. Superman herald of death! Woo! Other than training and good ol fatherly Care I'm not sure what he would gain beside unspecified tech.
What could apocalypse give superman? Celestial tech? Armor? Make him a horsemen? Guess I don't know much about him him to be a good judge. If he can upgrade him like he did to hulk (war hulk) then that's something I'd like to see.
Good thread
I say Doom. That superman would become absolutely ruthless which would serve him well in a fight. Plus if he could be taught to learn magic close to dooms level he would be far more dangerous than the other two.
Second would be apocalypse, for the potential augmentation and possible celestial tech.
ApocyMan would be relentless and probably be the strongest physically, DoomerMan would be devious and probably have at least a modest knowledge of magic, ThanosMan would probably be brilliant and a significant combat training advantage.
I imagine Doom giving Supes the type of armor SMP had just a solar generating/battery suit. And plus magic and being taught to be clever and ruthless at the same time.
Not sure what thanos would do. Train him maybe do some genetic engineering on him maybe?
Apoc would def give him some in enhancements but dooms would be better. I don't think apoc would be able to make him as cunning or combat efficient as doom.
Doom would probably kill the other two Superman long before they reached their 20th birthday. Not out of any fatherly concern for Doom jr, but just because it's good to use other people's property for testing.
As for this fight:
Apoc-o-supes - tech that neither father nor son can understand, but that somehow "works". big ideas about personal significance that hinder ... actual significance. and ability to show fright in the presence of rapidly moving furniture.
he'd be the first to fail.
Thano-supe - Probably ends up like Orion, nothing special, father sees him as a potential problem and out of 'love' keeps a cool detached distance from him. Perfunctory training in martial techniques and some minor augmentation would be about the limits of what Thanos would deign to give.
Doom... well, his ego would possess Superman, thus making him part of the personage of Doom. That's all it would require really. Doom's ego in Superman's body.
