Two incredibly overrated fighters
I'd give it to Shang. Neither have beaten any spectacular fighters, but Shang hasn't lost to guys like Bullseye, Kuruyama and even Hercules in a sword fight, all which have happened to Elektra.
Pretty even without the Iron Fist. And I think Danny could take Elektra without using an Iron Fist.

He wouldn't risk it, considering the stakes and the villain already proving he could see through them giving anything less then 100%.
