Idk I dont superman that interesting. He lands on an alien planet, gets raised as a great person and decided to use his alien strengths to help people.

If anything I much prefer suoergirls.. It's about the same but the fact she remembers her planet and family enough to miss them and be impacted by the loss ontop of landing on a alien planet, meeting a older version of her baby cousin and having to adapt to the new planet. Never mind the powers that thrusts her into this odd world of super powered individuals more or less out of her control rather than a decision like Clark. (yes she eventually wants to do it but still it's more interesting)

Superman is more about how it's told rather than the bullet points. Birthright, for example, has some heart-wrenching moments.

Magneto's backstory does, indeed, rock.
Or at least it used to.

I'm familiar really only with the version that was circulating around 1994 or thereabouts.

Comic writers gave a lot of respect to the character during that period, which, if I remember correctly, was around the year of Magneto #0's publication.

Helped to make Magneto one of my favorite characters then, following only, perhaps, Spider-Man and Rogue.

Actually, now that that I think of it, while Rogue's backstory is, unfortunately, too convoluted for consideration, that of Magneto and Spider-Man would take the top 2 slots.
