Yes, he can.

He can eat things that pre-crisis Superboy couldn't break.

^ thumb up Case in point: the Miracle Machine...

Not even the combined strength of Silver Age Superboy+Ultra Boy was able to put a dent in it... Nor did the combined energy attacks of the Silver Age LoSH have any effect on it:

M-EL, on the other hand, simply ate the Miracle Machine AND all of its energies:

Yeah, though M-E Lad went insane as a result of this (and later finally cured in LSH #297), we see later in LSH v4 (which kinda contradicts things a bit), that he still has the energy inside him::

......and in the next few pages, demonstrates it to be true by creating 'Eyeful Ethel' (warping reality).

The energies of the MM corrupted him, yes. However, I was mainly talking about M-EL eating its housing/shell--the same housing/shell that the Silver Age LoSH couldn't even scratch.

Most don't realize how unbelievably impressive that is in itself. Consuming the MM's [infinite] energies is a different animal entirely.

It's cool, i wasn't disputing your post, just adding some info (that he housed those energies for a quite an amount of time). smile

Yup. And just so everybody knows, back in the day, Miracle Machine was just as powerful as it was in FC (slightest of thought can destroy the entire universe).

I'd imagine that it would take a long time to digest infinite energy. stick out tongue

Yeah, the MM's universal+ status was confirmed way back in its very first appearance:

thumb up Adv. comics #367 is what i was actually referring to. Notice how the controller specifically says "Slightest".......we also know it to be true.

It's also the most powerful weapon they have despite having sh*t like the concentrator, which before the MM was introduced, was the most powerful weapon in the universe (featured in Adv. Comics #321), among other things.

A lot of the Silver Age 'tech' was just retarded... And the Concentrator was certainly no exception. When activated, the phucking thing absorbed ALL the power in the universe, of EVERY kind:

That's why it could only be used for an instant at a time--while it was turned on, no power existed anywhere in the universe.

ME-Lad survived the crisis, and there's one for each version of the Legion. The first became a politician and celebrity on his home planet due in part to his time with the legion ("Trust me, I'm a senator"), second one was team chef, third was a government agent.

ME Lad is a great character ^^
