the day hasn't been ruined. Maybe red skull could help come up with a battle plan (even though they wouldn't really need it)?

Yeah, the only way I see RS contributing is with a battle plan. Steve's cloned body and MA skills are useless in this fight.

Classic version had a pretty uber energy pistol... but what would it do to Thanos? Nothing. Maybe if he caught him off-guard and shot it repeatedly at the back of his head, maybe it would daze him a bit... considering it floored Doom on 2 occasions.
