5 movies better off.

That would also **** things up for DC, as it has for Marvel.

Sony own the screen rights to Spidey, so Marvel by law cant have Spidey in any of their future movies(MU film or The Avengers) unless they buy back the rights, and at the moment, Sony would have Marvel break the bank.

Who do you feel Nolan would have made his Trilogy about if Batman was off the table.

Not sure.

His movies are usually dark ie Memento, Insomnia, Following & Inception.

With Batman, he could put his best trait to ultimate use; Dark movies.

So, I could have seen him doing a Constantine trilogy if there hadn't already have been one in production at that time.
