Pre-powers: Peter Parker Vs Steve Rogers

How old was Pete when he got his powers? 15? 16?

Whichever, let's say both guys at 16 years old, no powers.

Nerd vs Wannabe

Which gimp is the least gimpy?

Steve did receive training before SSS/vita ray mix, didn't he? He wins.

Yeah, but Peter wasn't the 98 lb weakling from the Toby movies either. A "cool" nerd, with a decent build who was pretty popular with the ladies..

How extensive could the training have been? If it was years of practice and application, then sure, but if we're talking boot camp?

that sort of training would still be better than a chemistry nerd's level of skill.

I don't see why you think any training he had would take Steve that far. Here is the thing, Peter Parker is merely scrawny. Steve before the serum wasn't just scrawny, I'm pretty sure the dude was quite sickly as well.

I also sure as hell do not buy Steve at the age of 15 or 16 having been trained by the military. That happened RIGHT before he was given the serum, not years before.

Steve would win by sheer force of will, he wouldn't give up. He'd win eventually or be knocked out trying. Id go with a hard win.

Ever read The Breaker?

I'm about 70% certain the writer was trolling the "never give up" hero, because his protagonist never gave up. And got beaten up... a lot. Got kind of hard to watch after awhile. Like, half his friends are just people who had their minds broken by a guy that keeps spouting off his ideals no matter how many times they put his head through a wall...

Anyways, Rogers won't give up, but you know what they say about the spirit being willing, but the flesh being weak.

How do you know that Cap at the age of 15-16 prior to getting the serum had a force of will that was anything close to what the post serum comic version has?

cdtm - what comics were you reading? Pre-spider bite, Parker was a puny loser that was 1. bullied (Flash), 2. extremely bullied (eating dog sh!t, drowning in a toilet, kneed in the balls, all courtesy of Carl King), 3. molested/raped (Westcott), 4. even a fellow nerd beat him up.

Skirts noticed him only after radioactive blood started flowing through his veins.

Despite his fragile body, he endured repeated beatings from kid gangs stick out tongue

Parker just cried and barely kept it together.

Because its a personality trait not something external. He just didn't have the body to back it up, same as him being a damn good person, he didn't become good once he got the serum, he always was, and he didn't get his will because he got muscle, he always had it.

Parker has numerous diseases, too. Like a micropenis.
