This Samson claimed to be stronger and faster than regular Leonard, and Red Hulk seemed to think that was the case too. Whether that makes him more or less of a loser, I don't know.
The class 100 thing is from the handbook. And common sense (Classic Samson was already close to Class 100, so it'd only make sense he would be 100 with the upgrade, pretty much like Colossus).
You're right though, Samson is an underachiever. More of a supporting character than an actual fighter, I'd even say.
Thundra did pretty good in that fight, iirc. Didn't she choke Samson with her chain?
I remember back in the 90s Samson went up against Crazy Eight. She was some mid level meta that even gave Wonder Man a good fight before he successfully put her down. She went nuts in prison and Samson dealt with her with no effort.

Based largely on her early fights with the Thing, who admittedly isn't big on fighting women, even 7 footers trying to knock him out, I think she's capable of putting this version of Samson down, if she managed to mount a sustained attack. On the other hand, she's very aggressive, big on proving her superiority, and he's exceedlingly manipulative. If he baited her into going blow for blow, kept her at close quarters, I think his strength would win out. So coming off the fence, I'd call it 6-4 to this version of Samson.
Anyway, I'll stop bumping. I just have a fondness for the supermiddle/lightheavy bruiser clashes to genuine Class 100+ heavyweight throwdowns, I guess!
