Re: Re: Dark Phoenix Vs Michael Korvac (The Enemy)
1) Galactus was hungry in that fight
2) That would have been a good fight but Rachel decided it wasn't worth it if the planet was destroyed in the aftermath of their fight and gave up willingly. He also took her by surprise, they had just returned from the "Cross Time Caper" quests.
3) That's from a What If

She just transformed into Dark Phoenix and she was weak and hungry (according to her own words) and already Reed stated that her power level could rival Galactus (Reed would know).

We know Galactus could consume everything also from FF and in fact he was going to. It took, Thor, Deathshead II and the FF to stop him being used for that. It was actually happening and not hyperbole.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Dark Phoenix Vs Michael Korvac (The Enemy)
Are you saying Galactus is not as powerful as a Celestial? That Galactus was a 616 Galactus originally, the TVA of 616 were involved and 616 supporting cast. Now, he was altered yes, in the sense he was not be satiated by the energy he was feeding on. We know he can release Galactus wave energy so we know he can give out power faster than he feeds. No Black Celestial is needed. Back to topic, do you think Phoenix would beat Korvac?
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Dark Phoenix Vs Michael Korvac (The Enemy)
Fact is, the only reason Galactus' hunger was at that level in that arc was because as Galactus was recovering on Earth, the Dreaming Celestial (while he was imprisoned by the way) altered Galactus' physiology and Galactus was powerless to stop it. (please log in to view the image)
Back on topic, I'm in agreement with Leo, it could go either way.
EDIT - edited to include image

Depends on what you mean by Dark Phoenix. Do you mean Jean Grey within the Dark Phoenix saga or simply a Phoenix host corrupted by the power? Because that's all a Dark Phoenix is.
A Phoenix host is hooked up to the limitless energy of the Phoenix Force. Whereas Galactus whilst powerful has limited energy reserves, that he is constantly burning through hence his endless hunger. He can absorb the energy of a planet, keep up with another cosmic power for a short period then hes quickly burned through his reserves and back to square one. Hes limited by his need for external sustenance:
In a forum battle whereby we're free to refer to the full extent of the characters powerset and how they would use them within their featured personalities Dark Phoenix would beat the average Galactus the majority of the time and by extension Michael Korvac.
Re: Re: Dark Phoenix Vs Michael Korvac (The Enemy)
Obviously not a win for Phoenix, Galactus clearly stepped in some splooge and just slipped and fell down.
