Hulk's is practically an undrainable reactor by modern times, and Surfer is pretty hard to drain. Superman, he's actually gotten easier to drain with time. Under the Byrne era, it was claimed if you drained Supermans solar energy, all you'd get is instant cancer.
Under Morrison, all you need is some basic magnetic powers like Triumph to drain him dry.. And that's about where it's been since.

I like the character, but sometimes writers arse pull plot devices as badly as DC did with Superman back in the golden/silver age. He can hack anybody, outsmart anybody, get the secret code for Tony Stark's pacemaker or depower Mephisto with force fields (Also a fyi, those two things happened under Priest, yet Iron Fist delivered the mother of all beatings under his pen. No more proof iz needed that he's the biggest Iron Fist fanboy out there. )
