They were pretty resistant to Kyles White Lantern Crayon Corp energies, along with Star Sapphires. Plus his blue light couldn't heal wounds from their weapons.
Not to mention, they hurt X'hal, an energy based planet buster/high end matter manipulator.

Kyle was still adjusting to his powers at the time -- he was far from his full potential. And in the end he still bfr'd them all from dozens of planets and knocked off their armor. And X'hal knocked a small army of them as well.
