 Quasar vs. Molecule Man

Can Quasar's molecules be dispersed across the universe and his cosmic knowledge increase without the aid of the quantum bands and still keep it together enough to return with real power to destroy Molecule Man.
Quasar keeps the quantum bands and epoch learns some new things is what I think then Quasar will be able to contend with Silver Surfer.
