They're actually pretty comparable. Since Shang needs chi to live, I'm just gonna use his average.
Speed is a wash, both have insane bullet time feats. Striking power is comparable, with Cass knocking a giant hole in a prison wall and punching through bullet proof prison glass, while Shang Karate chopped the head off a giant stone statue, with the head being about the size of his body, and casually elbowing through a thick stone boulder.
They're also both at the top of the skill hierarchy, with Shang bettering Elektra and Iron Fist, while Cass got Batman to admit he'd lose, and Shiva accepted her as a peer.
In every way that matters, they're evenly matched. Except for one thing, and that one thing will make the difference.
Cass's super human level body reading. Shang really has no way to bypass it, and that gives Cass the edge. (Silent Scream might work, but how often has he used it? Seems like an outlier or forgotten power.)

Never let anyone else define you. Don't be a jerk just to be a jerk, but if you are expressing your true inner feelings and beliefs, or at least trying to express that inner child, and everyone gets pissed off about it, never NEVER apologize for it.
